- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, in person and online
- Friendly, positive, and professional manner
- Passionate about the university experience and the University of Edinburgh in particular; able to represent the University with enthusiasm and integrity
The Student Ambassador scheme is an essential part of the student recruitment cycle. Our Student Ambassadors support applicants and offer holders to learn more about the student experience; and this is a critical part of the recruitment process, helping us to secure the best students, and achieve diversity.
This role is guaranteed hours (20 guaranteed hours), and fixed term. As this is a student experience post, the contract duration will be linked to your length of studies, ending in May 2025 for UG students & August 2025 for PGT students.
This is a flexible and varied role where work is offered regularly throughout the year and Student Ambassadors are asked for their availability. This work is then allocated as fairly as possible, keeping in mind Ambassador availability and the requirements of the particular task. Ambassadors are also able to propose and suggest social media projects to enhance the brand reputation of the School. The amount of work available varies throughout the academic year at different key points in the recruitment and conversion activity calendar. It is understood that there may be times of the year where students are busy with studies and unable to commit to activities.
